Sopot is a biotope of shapes. That was the reason for this documentary, which was created in the last week of June 2024. But the boundaries of documentary are exceeded as soon as the purely objective imagery also allows for atmospheric aspects. That's why this documentary belongs in the series of "peinture trouvée" - painting with the camera as an attempt to give reality an epic charge. The reality of Sopot, the legendary Polish seaside resort, is determined by a continuity that has hardly been affected even by two world wars. The mishmash of styles from around 1900 appears here in high concentration. This results in contrasts to newer architecture, but also to the random shapes of everyday life.
