A new beginning is long due after the production of a consistent group of works stretching over exactly 10 years. This new beginning starts with white. The role of white as a light source in the picture was not completely exhausted in the past as the white often appeared as a remaining area in the background. Now the white gains a new activity. White areas are no longer accidents of an intuitive design process but rather they are a deliberately selected form with a given size. This form comprises white stripes of mostly similar width. So creating a connection to the pictures of 1990. At that time it was a stripe-shaped diamond module that generated picture structures systematically. Now the system is only the given width of the stripes. The utilization, however, is completely intuitive. Because the white gains the attribute of form, the color loses the attribute of form. This is intentional. The color zones appear stronger than before like accidental products of a design process. Pictures that do not contain white because it is not originally envisaged also use the principle of the stripe as a structural element although only as the bearer of a specially toned color. Something similar also appeared in 1990. Even the role of the stripes is similar to the stripe-shaped diamond of 1990. In both phases bordering or invading a color area implements the white. Because of the lack of system, there is a greater freedom in the picture conception in 2001 as compared to 1990.
